By land and air towards a clean future

Eco-friendly transport is a trend in modern cities. The Russian capital does not stand aside: more and more electric buses run on the streets of Moscow, and a cableway will appear in the north of the city in the coming years.
ELECTRIC BUSES ON LCC
Electric buses are environmentally friendly and the most modern transport, created specifically for Moscow, taking into account the climate and traffic. They operate without any particular disruptions and meet all modern world standards: equipment for the transportation of passengers with disabilities, climate control system, satellite navigation, USB connectors for charging mobile devices.

Electric buses began to run through the streets of Moscow in the fall of 2018: it was then that the city received the first units of cars and charging stations for them under life cycle contracts (LCC), concluded in the spring of the same year. Such agreements provide not only for the supply of goods, but also for further maintenance and repairs by the supplier during the entire period of operation.

For three years, five LCC have been signed with manufacturers for the supply of 600 electric buses. The volume of contracts exceeded 36.4 billion rubles. 300 vehicles will be delivered under two contracts signed in 2020. They will also be repaired, serviced and supplied with components for 15 years.
CABLEWAY ABOVE THE CAPITAL
By 2023, a cableway with a length of 2.3 km over the Khimki reservoir will appear in Moscow, which will connect the "Skhodnenskaya" and "Rechnoy Vokzal" metro stations, relieve the roads and the metro, and reduce the travel time between the Severnoye and Yuzhnoye Tushino and Levoberezhny districts from 45 to 7 minutes. It will be integrated into the city's transport network: it will be possible to pay for travel with a Troika card. The price of a regular trip will not exceed the price of a single trip on the metro.

The cableway will be built by Moscow Cableways LLC, which has already proven itself in the construction of the cableway on Vorobyovy Gory. At the end of 2019, a concession agreement was signed with the investor for 25 years. The consortium includes the renowned Swiss ropeway manufacturer Bartholet.
THE ADVANTAGES OF THE CABLEWAY
  • REDUCTION OF TRAVEL TIME
  • NO HARMFUL EMISSIONS INTO THE ATMOSPHERE
  • DOES NOT REQUIRE LARGE-SCALE LIBERATION OF TERRITORIES
  • ALMOST NOISELESS
MORE THAN 3 BILLION RUBLES WILL BE INVESTED IN THE PROJECT BY THE INVESTOR
WORLD EXPERIENCE
Cableways are used as public transport in many countries of the world, including Singapore, Great Britain, USA, Colombia, Japan, Portugal, Brazil.

In London, it was even specially built for the 2012 Summer Olympics. The volume of traffic on it is more than 1.8 million passengers per year, the length is 1100 m.

The longest cableway in the world operates in La Paz (Bolivia), its length is 30 km. The road connects La Paz with the neighboring town of El Alto. Travel time between settlements is reduced from one and a half hours to 25 minutes.
