We're in space

Throughout April, a photo exhibition was held for Moscow residents on Tsvetnoy and Gogolevsky boulevards, dedicated to the achievements of Moscow enterprises in the rocket and space industry.
Among them are the Kvant Research and Production Enterprise, Russian Space Systems, Nauka Research and Production Center, the Khrunichev Research and Production Center, the Karacharovsky Mechanical Plant, the Bakery Research Institute and even the Svoboda factory.
MOSCOW IS THE CENTER OF THE ROCKET AND SPACE INDUSTRY: MORE THAN 40 ENTERPRISES OF THE INDUSTRY WORK HERE.
More than 20 industrial enterprises took part in the photo project dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's space flight. Conquest of the the universe would be an impossible task without them: these companies manufacture rockets, develop parts for them, produce clothing and food for cosmonauts. The exhibition "Moscow Industry to Space!" told Moscow residents about engineers, designers, scientists, thanks to whom the historic flight took place.

The exposition included rare archival footage and interesting facts about space exploration. The exhibition visitors learned about the history of "Buran" and "Vostok", details about the legendary "Soyuz" and new spacecraft, and even what the "space" toothpaste consists of and what bread is eaten on the ISS. Pictures convey the atmosphere of the project most eloquently.
